:: Who am I?

Currently I am a Lecturer of Computer Science at the School of Computer Science and Information Systems at Birkbeck College, London, UK. Before that I worked as a wissenschaftlicher Assistent (corresponds approximately to Assistant Professor) at the University of Mannheim, Germany, where I also acquired my Ph.D. I received a Masters degree in Computer Science (Dipl. Inform.) from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany. For the winter term 2004/2005 I held a temporary professorship in databases at the University of Heidelberg, Germany.

Join ordering problems and join algorithms.
Implementation issues of native XML repositories and other databases
An analysis tool for high energy physics (HEP)
